About the Role

Babcock & Wilcox MEGTEC is a leader in clean power production technologies, providing environmentally conscious solutions and services to energy and industrial customers worldwide. We invite young adults with engineering and technical training to fill the role of Senior Project Coordinator.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in a regional office reporting to the Regional Construction Manager. The individual will be mentored by experienced project managers and superintendents in the office, with opportunities for travel and time at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate contracts between $50,000 and $1M.
  • Work with an assigned construction supervisor to direct, plan, and monitor resources for project completion, assessing manpower and material requirements.
  • Monitor quotations for engineering and manufacturing lead times for proposals.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings to follow contract performance status.
  • Develop strategies for project margin improvement through order changes and reduction in costs.

Requirements

Education and/or Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an on-site Project Coordinator.
  • Interest or experience in managing smaller projects involving engineering, procurement, and construction.

Candidate Requirements

  • Speak, read, and write English (French would be an asset).
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Basic familiarity with ASME, NFPA, and related codes, welding procedures.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work as a team member on projects with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities.

Compensation

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, plus health and dental benefits, pension, and savings plans.
