Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor - Project Coordinator

At Crosswood Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Supervisor - Project Coordinator to join our team. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in construction management and a proven track record of successfully leading teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Supervise and train construction staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities, including site preparation, construction, and maintenance.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Recruit and hire construction staff, and conduct related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training, and manage company resources effectively.
  • Manage company operations, including setting up machines and equipment, estimating costs, and requisitioning materials.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and recommend personnel actions as needed.
  • Read blueprints and drawings, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Lead and instruct individuals, and supervise a team of 3-4 people.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work under pressure, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.

  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers.
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
  • Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
  • Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
  • Offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
  • Provides workspace accommodations to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
  • Offers resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
Supports for Visible Minorities:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
