About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Production Scheduling Team at CB Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for effectively managing and coordinating all incoming and outgoing information from various systems related to materials requirements planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Materials Planning and Coordination: Ensure accurate and timely loading of Bill of Materials (BoM) information into the system, and verify that accurate and adequate routing is created for jobs where raw materials, subassemblies, and different parts flow.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build, set up, maintain, and improve the infrastructure for effective communication flow in and out of production, utilizing tools such as Smartsheet, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Production Support and Scheduling: Review, update, and complete tasks within ERP (IOS) and Project Management Software (Dataweb), including defining and validating production build quantities required for each job, developing and driving adherence to the defined workflow for materials management and planning, and providing reporting and metrics to measure material management and planning effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize engineering outputs (BOM, Drawing information, etc.) to execute planning material requirements for production jobs, support the development of SOPs, playbook, and other training documents as required, and review all critical milestones and dates related to material planning within MPS, Data web, and IOS.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Diploma or degree in a related field, with experience determining, assigning, and overseeing tasks in a Lean, fast-paced production environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with ERP and project management software, Microsoft Excel, and comfortable developing macros, using VLOOKUP, Index/Match, and PivotTables to work with data.
  • Solution-Oriented Approach: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and work with statistics to conduct root cause analysis.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Flexible and effective communication skills, ability to build internal and client relationships, and comfortable facilitating meetings, proposing ideas, and presenting to senior managers.
