Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team at Astellas Pharma Inc. This role is pivotal in providing essential technical support and troubleshooting to our Operations and Engineering Teams on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance and problem resolution to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of effective guidelines and procedures.
  • Enhance equipment design principles for improved functionality.
  • Conduct technical training sessions and produce relevant documentation.
  • Lead initiatives for technical problem-solving.
  • Implement corrective measures to improve product quality.
  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and testing readiness.
  • Engage in lean manufacturing practices to boost operational efficiency.

Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with global product design teams, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Engineering departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Biologics or Pharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly in a GMP environment.
  • Knowledge of biologics drug substance manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, statistical analysis, and data science.
  • Hands-on experience in drug manufacturing processes.

Additional Information:

  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects across the plant.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • This is a permanent position based at our manufacturing facility.
