We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our manufacturing engineering team. This is a full-time and permanent position based out of our production facility in Etobicoke, requiring candidates to be on-site 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain the strategic vision for manufacturing engineering in accordance with company and department OKRs.
  • Set the tone for process optimization, identifying opportunities to improve process efficiencies and product quality.
  • Conduct regular assessments, design and test new equipment and systems to optimize processes.
  • Engage with SCM and engineering teams to identify third-party suppliers, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and manage capital expenditure plans and budgets for engineering and equipment components.
  • Redefine engineering cost-effectiveness and implementation workflows to ensure alignment with business operations.
  • Manage financial reporting processes for equipment and engineering components, conducting deep-dives into manufacturing finances.
  • Evaluate, purchase, and install equipment for manufacturing and warehouse locations.
  • Lead a team of engineers and process specialists to drive operational excellence, innovation, and cost-reduction in manufacturing practices.
  • Define engineering KPIs to drive continuous improvement within the engineering process and across production-specific locations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior leader within engineering, managing a team in manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt designation is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in finance and project management, with experience managing complex projects and CAPEX/OPEX budgets.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams globally, in various work environments.
