Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Assistant Co-op to join our Manufacturing Engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical engineering student to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Conduct process studies and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to create and improve manufacturing fixtures and equipment.
  • Support the implementation of CAPEX projects and work with project engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Available for a 4 or 8-month placement.
  • Proficient in CAD software, including Solid Edge, Solid Works, or AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with machines and manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
