About the Role:

As a Senior Buyer and Category Lead, you will be responsible for the Overhead and Workspace category within the Purchasing team at Ubisoft, working under the direction of the Associate Director responsible for all of Ubisoft's Canadian studios. As part of Ubisoft's organizational transformation to harmonize all Canadian studios, you will play a key role by demonstrating strong leadership and exceptional autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy Development: Design and implement a robust category strategy aligned with internal customer needs and corporate cost reduction objectives. This includes the acquisition of goods and services necessary for the day-to-day running of a business, such as office supplies, utilities, workspace, and other expenses related to general corporate administration.
  • Supplier Management: Analyze, identify, maintain, and develop relationships with key suppliers, while establishing new strategic partnerships.
  • Contract Management: Ensure strict compliance with contractual terms and conditions, with the ability to identify and address any deviations. Oversee the performance of key suppliers and ensure compliance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Market Research: Closely monitor industry trends, technological advances, and the competitive marketplace to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with various departments such as the project management office, internal customer, finance, and legal departments, to ensure seamless execution of purchasing projects on the roadmap.
  • RFP Process Management: Complete management of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including presenting negotiation mandates to senior management.
  • KPI Establishment: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and success of initiatives in place.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data to build a solid business case, identify gaps, and exploit opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement in a senior role.
  • Strong negotiation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with ability to take initiative.
  • Data-driven.
  • Ability to make decisions based on facts and to defend one's point of view with logical arguments.
  • In-depth knowledge of S2C and P2P processes (expert).
  • University degree or equivalent (business administration, procurement, logistics, or other relevant discipline) complemented by a successful track record.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
  • Project Management: Adherence to project objectives and milestones, monitoring of project progress, ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Experience in indirect purchasing is an additional asset.
