Category Manager, Global Accessories Procurement and Planning

As part of the global supply chain and inventory planning team, the manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective parts plannings, purchasing and inventory strategies that continue to meet competitive market demands while achieving corporate objectives. In this role, you will work closely with the demand planning team to build a supply plan base of the supplier network capacity. The manager will also play an active role in the S&OP process while transforming the business with a category owner approach.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Focus on increasing the value generated by the assigned categories and aligning the procurement strategy with BRP's objectives.
  • Be accountable for the strategic initiative of category-specific risk management and vendor performance management to stay updated on the end-to-end sourcing processes.
  • Manage your team of buyers, planners and analysts to execute the category strategy, to meet the margin and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and streamline the Suppliers database and keep informed of the latest developments in the market offering.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the products and contract, including supporting the Portfolio Manager in the accessory development and sourcing cycle.
  • Collaborate in the deployment strategy to improve Facing fill rate.
  • Set up and/or maintain the various work tools and business processes necessary for the proper functioning of the department.
  • Manage supplier relationships around the world.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or engineering, or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing & Supply planning.
  • Essential bilingualism both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
  • Be versatile, autonomous, rigorous and have excellent analytical skills.
  • Good communicator and recognized for his leadership.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize work, manage priorities and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage and mobilize a team.
  • Knowledge of SAP S4 & SAP IBP an asset.
  • Available to travel.
