HR Business Development Specialist

The Law Society of Ontario is seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join its team. This individual will work closely with people leaders and employees to deliver effective human resource management processes, practices, and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities- Supports the implementation of human resource management processes, practices, and initiatives that meet the needs of the Law Society and comply with applicable legislation.
- Acts as a business partner with stakeholders and client groups to identify organizational needs and implement processes and approaches to address these needs.
- Optimizes employee engagement within client groups through the implementation of strategies.
- Provides guidance and recommendations on best practices related to employee advisory services.
- A university degree in business, human resources management or a related field.
- A minimum 7+ years' progressive experience in employee relations and HR business partner/HR advisory role to people leaders.
- Strong general business acumen and knowledge of current trends and developments in a regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively on a team, providing guidance and support to other team members.
- Familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Adobe, DocuSign, SharePoint, videoconferencing, and database software.
The Law Society has introduced a Distributed Workforce Model to leverage flexibility and agility, and to maximize employee productivity and engagement. Work arrangements will be determined by role and departmental requirements.
Estimated Salary Range$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
