About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef to join our team at OFF THE HOOK SURF TURF SMOKERY LTD. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and overseeing the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and train our cooking staff to maintain high standards.
  • Supervise and mentor our specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Create innovative and delicious recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and functions.
  • Supervise and train our cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to meet customer demands.
  • Plan menus and ensure that food meets our quality standards.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling to maintain high standards.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
Support for Youths
  • Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.

Work Details: Permanent position, 30 hours per week, English language.
