About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at OFF THE HOOK SURF TURF SMOKERY LTD. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and customer satisfaction
    • Work with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory levels
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
    • Collaborate with our kitchen team to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and standards
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence in our menu items
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
    • Work with our purchasing team to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience
    • Respond to customer feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in a senior culinary role
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
