Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Deployment: Install, move, add, and change hardware on PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal downtime.
  • Software Installation and Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Deskside Support: Provide on-site technical support to clients, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help Desk Support: Respond to and resolve client inquiries and issues via phone, email, or in-person, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Network Support: Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities, ensuring network stability and security.
  • Bench Repairs and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues in a controlled environment, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Call Management: Respond to and update client calls from our National Dispatch/Call Management Center, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware deployment, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities.
  • Deskside Support Experience: 1-2 years of experience in providing on-site technical support.
  • Internetworking and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong skills in internetworking and troubleshooting, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Certifications: A+ certification and/or other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and/or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
  • Education: A minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
