About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and other hardware devices to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Deskside Support: Provide on-site technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Break-Fix Support: Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Internetworking and Troubleshooting: Develop and implement network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure seamless communication between systems.
  • Certifications and Training: Maintain and upgrade technical certifications, such as A+ and Cisco/Microsoft certifications, to stay current with industry developments.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Act as a team lead, providing guidance and support to junior technicians, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business and provide support during critical periods.
  • Education and Qualifications: Possess a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program, with a strong foundation in computer systems, networking, and software applications.
