We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform intermediate-level hardware deployment activities, including installations, moves, adds, and changes, for PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices.
- Handle software installation, support, and upgrades to ensure seamless system operation.
- Provide deskside support services, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Offer first-level Help Desk support to clients, responding to their technical inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities to maintain a stable and efficient network environment.
- Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
- Communicate effectively with clients to diagnose problems, establish estimated time of arrival, and determine parts requirements.
- At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware deployment and related activities.
- 1-2 years of deskside support experience.
- Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills.
- A+ certification.
- May hold additional vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work flexible schedules.
- Minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
