Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intermediate-level hardware deployment activities, including installations, moves, adds, and changes, for PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices.
  • Handle software installation, support, and upgrades to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Provide deskside support services, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Offer first-level Help Desk support to clients, responding to their technical inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities to maintain a stable and efficient network environment.
  • Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to diagnose problems, establish estimated time of arrival, and determine parts requirements.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware deployment and related activities.
  • 1-2 years of deskside support experience.
  • Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills.
  • A+ certification.
  • May hold additional vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules.
  • Minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
