Role Overview

The Chief Officer of Employee Engagement and Total Rewards is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of the organization's total rewards strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and attracts, retains, and motivates top talent. This role oversees HR operations, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of HR service delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and lead implementation of a comprehensive total rewards strategy that includes compensation, benefits, recognition, and performance management.
  2. Complex Cross-Functional Programs: Own complex cross-functional total reward programs that address compensation, benefits, recognition, and performance management including: demonstrating thought-leadership, ensuring solutions are based on strong analytics and insights, ensuring the path to move from strategy to execution is clearly laid out, and presenting findings and recommendations in a compelling way at an executive level.
  3. Partnerships and Governance: Partner and collaborate internally with executives, senior leaders, and board members and externally with vendors and consultants regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  4. Executive Compensation: Oversee executive level compensation; share external executive level compensation findings, lead governance of program, manage end to end and deliver to both management and Compensation Committee Chair on a quarterly basis.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics, data visualization, planning, process efficiency, and critical thinking to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the total rewards and HR operations teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  7. Business Partnerships: Build strong relationships with senior leadership and business partners to understand workforce needs and align HR strategies accordingly.

  9. HR Operations: Oversee HR operations to ensure efficient service delivery, including HRIS management, payroll, compliance, and employee relations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Business Acumen: Excellent business acumen and judgment; communicate complex information and recommendations to key stakeholders and influence good outcomes
  • Project Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple complex projects and decisions at once
  • Communication Skills: Confident and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability: Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Passion for Fashion: Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience. Additionally, Holt Renfrew offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
