**Who we need**

We are looking for a **Total Rewards Manager** to elevate and evolve the Total Rewards portfolio, reporting to the Chief People Officer. In this role, you will oversee the planning, design, implementation, and administration of the total rewards programs at Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, including compensation, benefits, wellness, and recognition. Your work will ensure our offerings remain competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with the university’s goals and values. You will collaborate closely with university leadership, the People team, and external vendors to develop and manage comprehensive programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- This is a hybrid role, working two days a week in our downtown Toronto office._

**As our new Total Rewards Manager, you will**:

- _ Be a trusted point of contact. _You will oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including group insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. You will manage relationships with benefits vendors, negotiate contracts, and educate employees about benefits options. You will also manage leave programs, including short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and parental leave, ensuring they meet employee needs and compliance standards.
- _ Champion wellness and recognition._ You will design and implement wellness programs that promote physical, mental, and financial well-being. You will also develop and manage employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements and foster a culture of appreciation.
- _ Lead strategic initiatives._ In collaboration with the Chief People Officer, you will assist in developing a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns with our mission, goals and values. You will manage the budget for total rewards programs, ensuring they are cost-effective and aligned with our organizational objectives.
- _ Leverage data for insights._ You will use data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs, providing regular reports on participation rates, costs, and employee satisfaction. You will also develop and maintain policies related to total rewards, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and alignment with university policies.
- _ Support employee relations._ You will guide and support employees on all total rewards-related matters, working closely with the People Business Partnering team to resolve any compensation, benefits, or recognition issues that arise.
