About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Magnone's Italian Kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Chef Development: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Expertise: Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to maintain our high culinary standards.
  • Menu Development: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets, and for regular customers.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure timely delivery and optimal quality.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain our high standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
