Human Resources Generalist Role

Zanchin Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our organization, this position is responsible for communicating HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post jobs, perform interviews, screens, and recruit for entry-level, professional, and technical job openings.
  • Ensure the competency of applicants to job positions.
  • Administer and educate employees of benefits and maintain a positive relationship with insurance providers.
  • Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations.
  • Provide resolutions to employee relation issues, such as employee complaints and harassment allegations.
  • Act as a representative for unemployment claims.
  • Administer onboarding, orientation, and training within the organization.
  • Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions.
  • Prepare and issue position documentation and evaluation systems.
  • Develop and provide recommendations for policies and processes.
  • Provide research as requested.
  • Plan, organize, and attend recruitment fairs as requested.
  • Plan and organize staff events and recreational activities.
  • Coordinate and update the intranet site.
  • Keep job descriptions current.
  • Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically, and in person.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary Human Resources Management Education required.
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in an HR Generalist role is required.
  • Work experience in recruitment, talent acquisition preferred.
  • Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple human resource areas preferred.
  • Data analysis skills required.
  • Basic research skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR-related issues related to regulations, legislation, and policies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of change management.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Superior computer skills, telephone manner, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent typing skills, including proper spelling and grammar.
  • Presentation skills required.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to adapt and learn fast.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments and key external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Motivated individual with a proven track record of initiative.
  • CHRP an asset.
