Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure they align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Delegate work to office support staff, providing guidance and oversight to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met, maintaining a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Carry out administrative activities of the establishment, including data entry and report preparation.
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records, ensuring compliance with government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Coordinate and plan for office services, including accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services.
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
