We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team at Spirit Omega Inc. in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Job OverviewSpirit Omega Inc. is a dynamic company committed to providing excellent services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to work in our Regional Office in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative services that enable the Regional Office to fulfill its role in a timely and credible manner. Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will maintain the administrative aspects of the Regional Office, while carrying out various administrative, secretarial, and clerical responsibilities to ensure efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Effective transcription, typing, and word processing using Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) and database software (Access).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks under strict deadlines, and collaborate with others in a team environment.
- Initiative, good judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of trade union objectives and activities, commitment to union and equity principles.
- Proficiency in personal computer usage, including Windows, email, FrontPage, and Internet.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills, as well as proficiency in Inuktitut.
- Successful completion of business and/or secretarial training or equivalent experience in providing administrative services relevant to the position.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
