Job Summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Community Oral Health Coordinator North to join our team. As a key member of our oral health team, you will be responsible for supervising and providing leadership to Community Oral Health Coordinators (COHCs) who provide community-wide oral health promotion, education, and preventive oral health care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide leadership to COHCs in the delivery of oral health promotion, education, and preventive oral health care services.
  • Work with COHCs and other health care professionals to promote oral health and prevent oral health problems.
  • Provide support to COHCs in the delivery of oral health education and prevention activities.
  • Travel to communities to provide clinical dental services and support COHCs in their work.
  • Function as a liaison between the COHCs, community, region, and territorial health care system in the area of oral health.

Requirements

  • Diploma in office administration, dental services, or a related field.
  • Two years' experience in office administration, dental services, or a related field.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Registration as a Dental Therapist or Dental Hygienist would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions

This is a Highly Sensitive Position and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required.

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages would be considered an asset.
