Job Summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Condominium Property Manager to join our team in the Toronto-Lakeshore Area. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential communities, providing exceptional service to our clients, and leading a team of professionals to achieve our company's objectives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing residential communities, with a strong focus on customer service, team leadership, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of our residential communities, including maintenance, repairs, and customer service.
  • Leading a team of professionals to achieve our company's objectives and provide exceptional service to our clients.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
  • Collaborating with our Regional Director to develop goals and communicate established goals.
  • Ensuring the quality of our services and products, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Providing leadership and direction to our team, and assisting in the investigation and resolution of any issues that arise.
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with our clients, Board of Directors, and internal departments.
  • Conducting site inspections regularly, identifying deficiencies, and providing recommendations and action plans to improve the property.
  • Maintaining harmonious employee/employer relations.
  • Maintaining awareness of changes in rules, statutes, or regulations, and communicating changes to our team.
  • Directing training of staff when new procedures are required to comply with changes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A General License in good standing.
  • RCM or other recognized property management designation.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Working knowledge and experience in financial accounting in commercial real estate, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Knowledge of and the application of Condominium Act in community operations.
  • Excellent organization, motivation, leadership, management, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, leases, and/or regulations.
  • Knowledge of mechanical operations of a building and equipment.
  • Strong PC application skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
