About the Role
We're seeking a Subrogation Claims Specialist to play a pivotal part in our efforts. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for setting up property damage subrogation claims for recovery. This involves identifying liable third parties, obtaining their insurance carrier's claim information, and ensuring our team has complete and accurate data.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Obtain liable third-party claim information to expedite the subrogation demand process.
- Investigate and secure required claim information when drivers receive minimal or no third-party details at the time of the accident.
- Conduct online research to locate at-fault parties or request additional reports to obtain necessary information.
- Investigate and resolve claims when correspondence sent through the post office is returned 'undeliverable'.
- Communicate with third parties to obtain their auto insurance information.
- Report claims to at-fault parties' insurance and document their claim information.
- Communicate professionally, consistently, and in a timely manner with insurance carriers, agents, and our customers' drivers to increase recovery potential.
- Properly document claims and manage claim workflow, subrogation notes, and subrogation statuses to provide visibility and understanding of the process.
- Daily ordering, management, and review of police reports as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- College degree and 1+ year of business professional phone experience or 3+ years of business professional phone experience and administrative experience required.
- Previous Subrogation/claims processing or Recovery background preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) knowledge.
- Must be able to handle difficult conversations and exhibit conflict management skills.
- Ability to navigate approved internet sites to research necessary information.
- Position affords a considerable degree of independence, and strong time management skills are necessary.
