We are seeking a Junior Project Accountant for a 14-month contract at our Richmond office. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will provide financial and administrative support to Project Managers and senior Project Accountants.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate and timely project budgets for approval
  • Provide fiscal performance forecasts for existing and planning projects
  • Produce monthly reports, including cost trends, accounts receivable, and milestone status
  • Maintain and reconcile project cost reports, coordinate invoicing and billing schedules
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing project plans and progress reports
  • Coordinate with Finance and Contracts departments to ensure financial instruments are up-to-date
  • Process project invoicing and billing, track commitments, purchases, and outstanding items
  • Business-related degree or one year of related experience
  • Experience with cost accounting an asset

  • Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass the Controlled Goods Program (CGPO) security assessment

Salary:

The compensation range for this position is $41,000 - $45,000 annually, based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate
