The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Manager Assistant to support our project managers and site foremen. The successful candidate will have experience working in residential and commercial construction sites, with a strong background in electrical work.

  • Assist in project planning, execution, and coordination of site activities.
  • Coordinate meetings, manpower tracking, equipment utilization, material purchasing, quantities take-off, and vendor and client invoicing.
  • Provide project-specific support, including scheduling, and assisting with project controls and reporting.
  • Communicate with the project team on a daily basis to assist with cost control and project status.
  • Provide timely updates on progress and forecasting trends to the Project Manager.
  • Collect, input, manage, and present project cost tracking data.
  • Create and update project execution plans for individual tasks.
  • Assist in estimating duties as required.
  • Flag budget or schedule issues to the project manager.
  • Identify the need for change orders and prepare for approval.
  • Conduct preliminary review of pre-bills and assist with invoicing as needed.
  • Assist with the Health and Safety plan implementation during construction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational background in electrical or construction management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the electrical field.
  • Experience in record keeping and estimating.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Scheduling, cost control, and contract management experience.
  • Strong computer skills, using MS Office.
  • Familiarity with project management software packages (Accubid, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Strong commitment to safety in a construction site.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive and high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Highly motivated with an ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn processes quickly and prioritize client requirements.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and on your own.
  • Flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Motivated and proactive.
  • Multitasker.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
