Job Overview

Crossroads for Women seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Program Director to lead our core programs and teams, delivering exceptional services to survivors of violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective program strategies to meet the evolving needs of survivors and the community.
  • Lead and manage daily operations of Transition House, Outreach Services, Jade Centre, and Second-Stage Housing.
  • Manage and support staff, providing coaching, guidance, and resources to enhance their performance and job satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with property managers and housing partners to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize housing services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, service providers, and advocacy groups to leverage resources and expertise.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  2. Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading teams, overseeing programs, and managing budgets in the social services sector.
  3. Knowledge of Gender-Based Violence and Housing Services: Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, intimate partner violence, homelessness, and intersectional barriers survivors face.
  4. Problem-Solving and Crisis Management: Ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations and develop solutions to challenges as they arise.
  5. Communication and Relationship-Building: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with government agencies, funders, and community partners.
