About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Director of Alumni Engagement. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the importance of building and maintaining relationships with alumni, as well as a proven track record of developing and implementing successful engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Vice President of Alumni and Families to develop and implement a comprehensive relational engagement strategy for the global alumni community.
  • Alumni Engagement: Develop and implement a range of activities, initiatives, and events to increase alumni awareness and participation, including strategic planning, event management, and volunteer coordination.
  • Alumni Stewardship: Foster meaningful relationships with alumni, inviting them to contribute to the university's vision and mission, and providing opportunities for them to get involved in various ways, including mentoring, volunteering, and giving.
  • Alumni Ambassadors: Develop and oversee the Alumni Ambassador program, including managing an existing volunteer team and recruiting new ambassadors.
  • Legacy Parents: Collaborate with the Vice President of Alumni and Families to develop and implement an engagement strategy to increase the number of alumni legacy families.
  • Advancement Events: Build relationships and connections with alumni at advancement events, identifying individuals who have the potential to get further involved.
  • University Alignment: Develop a deep understanding of the university's priorities, needs, culture, community, academic and co-curricular strengths, and ensure that all engagement activities are aligned with these goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree required, with a preference for Trinity Western University alumni.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in relational management or a similar field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful engagement strategies.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including alumni, staff, and faculty. Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to excellence and a customer-focused approach.
