About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Donor Relations team as a Director of Donor Engagement. This key role will be responsible for managing the stewardship and growth of our donor programs, excluding major gifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation of donor communication initiatives, including direct mail fundraising letters, donor newsletters, donor recognition projects, and online donor-related content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful completion of these initiatives from start to finish.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing training and education plan for the team to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively engage with constituents.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or professional training in non-profit management, fundraising, communication, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a related position, with a proven track record in donor relations, fundraising, direct mail, marketing, project management, business communications, or similar.
  • Excellent command of the English language and superior writing and oral communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in managing multi-channel organizational plans and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as proficiency in Windows and internet browsing applications.
  • Familiarity with CRM databases and/or SQL reporting services is an asset.
  • Ability to draw on the strengths and resources of team members and the organization to achieve goals.
  • Dedication to staying up-to-date on best practices in donor relations, fundraising, and marketing.
