Position Purpose and Summary
As key ambassadors of TWU, University Advancement staff aspire to the highest standards of achievement, accountability, and excellence in communications, offering their various gifts and expertise to advance the reputation of TWU as Canada's premier Christian Global Liberal Arts University. University Advancement supports the vision of the University by connecting people to God's work of transformation in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff.
The Alumni Engagement Strategist is responsible for implementing engagement opportunities and initiatives to develop meaningful relationships with alumni. Through relational stewardship, engaging events, and leading an effective alumni ambassador team, the Alumni Engagement Strategist invites alumni to deeper levels of participation and contribution to the TWU community.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Develop and Execute Alumni Engagement Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive strategies to cultivate relationships with alumni, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging ongoing engagement with the University.
- Event Planning and Coordination: Plan and execute engaging events for alumni, including reunions, networking opportunities, and special gatherings that celebrate their achievements and foster connections.
- Alumni Ambassador Program Management: Lead and mentor a team of dedicated alumni ambassadors who serve as advocates for TWU and actively engage with fellow alumni in their communities.
- Relationship Building and Stewardship: Cultivate strong relationships with alumni through personalized communication, recognizing their achievements, and addressing their needs and interests.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze alumni engagement data to measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, marketing, non-profit management).
- Proven experience in alumni relations, event planning, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and cultivate relationships with diverse individuals.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Passion for higher education and commitment to the mission of Trinity Western University.
