About Us
Our client is a leading transportation company in Canada, recognized for its adaptability and innovation in providing tailored solutions to customers' evolving needs.
About the Role
This key leadership position involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing talent acquisition, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals and policies. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing sales plans and strategies by service type and region in alignment with company strategic goals
- Understanding and analyzing market trends to identify future opportunities
- Maximizing customer-facing time to assist sales professionals with sales process and skills improvement
- Acting as an executive sponsor for RFQ and solution design/pricing processes
- Leading and reporting on national competitive activity and market conditions
- Monitoring sales activities through Regional Sales Managers (sales cycle/pipeline management)
- Managing talent for both the Business Development and Customer Service Team
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 12-15 years of business development leadership experience, preferably in a consultative sales environment
- Comm or equivalent degree (MBA preferred)
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills in recruiting, training, and motivating a sales team
