About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Fancy Fork Café & Bistro. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food preparation and service staff
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient service
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Administrative and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Safe Food Handling certificate
