Purchasing Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team at Galaxy Home Furnishing Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine clerical duties, picking up and delivering materials, and preparing price quotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work Setting: Wholesale establishment/store
  • Tasks:
    • Perform routine clerical duties
    • Pick up and deliver materials
    • Prepare price quotations
    • Calculate costs of orders
    • Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and records
    • Prepare purchase orders
    • Process purchases
    • Review requisition orders for accuracy
    • Verify stock availability from current inventories
    • Compile inventory reports
    • Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks
    • Prepare requisition orders to replenish stock
    • Record the quantity, type and value of stock on hand using computerized or manual inventory system
    • Verify receipts and packing slips
