Project Coordinator Job Description

J Dass Developments is a dynamic and growing company with interests in real estate development, manufacturing, hospitality, and retail sectors. We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our construction team.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Construction Manager, Site Supervisors, and Forepersons on one or more construction projects. This role involves coordinating and maintaining records of daily work site activities, safety items, visitors, inspections, and job progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of daily work site activities, including photos and videos of job progress.
  • Manage contract documents, drawings, and specifications for project staff and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical support to Managers and Supervisors.
  • Prepare take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors, evaluate quotes, and prepare bid recaps.
  • Handle change orders, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Develop construction budgets and material procurement lists.
  • Assist with preparing project completion schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Supervisor to plan work sequences and ensure effective safety-conscious production.
Requirements:
  • High level of computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Strong estimation skills and experience with RFIs, RFQs, and take-offs.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Canadian construction experience.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:

This role requires travel to various sites and locations, with indoor and outdoor work environments. Weekend and evening work may be required to meet the demands of the position.
