Clinical Academic Psychiatrist

Job Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Academic Psychiatrist to join their team. The successful candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician-Teacher and must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing consultation-liaison services for transitional rehabilitation patients at Humber River Reactivation Centre and Pine Villa
- Providing addiction psychiatry and pain psychiatry consultation to patients at Bayview site
- Joining the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team and providing inpatient and outpatient consultation-liaison services
- Providing general outpatient psychiatric care
Requirements:
- MD degree
- Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Licensure in the Province of Ontario
- Advanced training in addiction psychiatry and pain psychiatry
- Track record of excellence in teaching
Compensation:
Based on a fee-for-service structure with additional funding through Academic and Educational Trust Funds and/or departmentally sanctioned administrative roles.
