Job Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a faculty position in child and adolescent psychiatry. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and a proven track record of research accomplishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical evaluation and treatment of outpatients, generally ages 6-24, and occasionally up to 29 years of age.
- Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students, psychiatry residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to the development of research programs and initiatives in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Requirements:
- MD degree from a recognized institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty.
- Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Sub-specialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Remuneration:
Remuneration is in accordance with the compensation of a psychiatrist in the province of Ontario. Estimated remuneration will be in the range of $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.
