Academic Psychiatrist – Child and Youth Psychiatry Division

Role Overview:
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health are seeking a full-time Academic Psychiatrist to join their Child and Youth Psychiatry Division. The successful candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher and must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor at the University of Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical evaluation and treatment of outpatients, generally ages 6-24, and occasionally up to 29 years of age.
- Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students, psychiatry residents and fellows.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services in the Division.
Requirements:
The successful applicant must hold an MD degree, be Board certified or Board Eligible in Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty, and be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. A sub-specialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is also required.
What We Offer:
The University of Toronto and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health offer a competitive compensation package, including remuneration in accordance with the compensation of a psychiatrist in the province of Ontario, estimated to be in the range of $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience.
