About the Role:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) seek a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychiatrist to join their team. The successful candidate will provide clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient programs, teaching opportunities, and potential creative professional activities.

Job Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to individuals with acute or persisting mental illness, including concurrent substance use disorders. They will also have opportunities for teaching and research, as well as participation in interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

  • Hold an MD degree
  • Be Board certified or Board Eligible in Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty
  • Be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Have additional training or equivalent experience, as well as a record of excellence in scholarship

Salary: Estimated remuneration is in the range of $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience.
