Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Northern Motor Inn. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for menu planning and inventory management.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and minimizing overtime.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to train staff and communicate effectively with the chef and other team members.
