About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Northern Motor Inn. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Lead and manage a team of food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.

Train and Develop Staff

Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, focusing on food safety, sanitation, and customer service.

Inventory Management

Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked and ready to meet customer demand.

Quality Control

Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, ensuring that every customer has a positive dining experience.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff performance, providing regular reports to management to inform business decisions.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Work Setting

Hotel, motel, or resort environment with a focus on customer service and food quality.

Transportation and Travel

Public transportation is available, and occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and excellent communication skills.

Personal Suitability

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
