About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Northern Motor Inn. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation

Oversee the preparation and portioning of food, ensuring that high-quality standards are met.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.

Inventory Management

Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.

Scheduling and Planning

Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.

Work Environment

Our hotel operates in a fast-paced environment, and you will be expected to work under pressure to meet the demands of our guests.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.

Language

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Setting

This role is based in a hotel, motel, or resort environment.

Transportation and Travel

Public transportation is available for staff who need to travel to and from work.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure.

You will need to have efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and guests.

Communication

Excellent oral communication skills are required to ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
