Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Clerk Supervisor to join our team at Fox Creek Limited Partnership o/a Comfort Inn and Suites. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of hotel staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel.
    • Provide guidance and training to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
    • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance activities.
    • Manage the hotel's inventory, supplies, and equipment.
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as food and beverage, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, hire, and train new staff members.
    • Develop and implement staff training programs to ensure that staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the hotel's budget and ensure that expenses are controlled and minimized.
    • Monitor and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a hotel management or supervisory role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of hotel operations and management principles.
    • Ability to analyze financial reports and make informed decisions.
Working Conditions
  • Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
  • Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Judgement, Team player.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
