Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team at Island Health.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in the day-to-day operations of Perinatal/Neonatal Intensive Care.
  • Coordinate and facilitate daily clinical activities, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between members of the multi-disciplinary team and other health care professionals.
  • Supervise staff, provide leadership, and function as a role model and coach to assist staff with professional development.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Graduation from a recognized nursing program plus three (3) years' recent related experience, including two (2) years relevant clinical experience.
  • Experience in a Single Room Maternity Care setting.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to supervise and organize work.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and commitment to collaborative practice.
  • Physical ability to perform duties of the position.

We offer a competitive salary range of $123,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience.
