Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Ostomy, Fistula and Wound Management to join our team. This role will involve providing expert clinical advice, education, and support to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, with experience in ostomy, fistula, and wound management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices and protocols for ostomy, fistula, and wound management
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on best practices in these areas
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Graduation from a recognized nursing program with Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification for specialty and/or service area or evidence of an equivalent combination of education and training
- Three years recent related surgical experience in ostomy, fistula and wound management, or two years recent Enterostomal Therapy experience, or an equivalent combination of experience
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
