Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Nursing Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to our nursing staff, ensuring that we deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to our nursing staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN
  • Minimum 1 year recent, related psychiatric nursing experience in a community setting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Clear criminal record check through the Solicitor General's office
  • Up-to-date on Provincial immunization schedule
  • Negative TB Test

Salary Range:

$49.20-$63.47 per hour
