Program Services Caseworker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Services Caseworker to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our residential facility, you will play a vital role in supporting clients and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an active caseload and provide primary support casework to clients.
- Responsible for client admissions and intake processing, case triaging, and referral and clerical duties.
- Provide clients with encouragement and access to wrap-around supports that lead to obtaining and maintaining housing.
- Contribute to the prevention and elimination of youth homelessness while meeting the human needs of vulnerable populations in York Region.
- College diploma or equivalent post-secondary education.
- Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and a current copy of a Driver's abstract.
- Experience working with homelessness, mental health, and related issues.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and equity principles.
- Good knowledge of community resources and services.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal and time management skills.
- This is a permanent full-time position.
- Shift schedules may apply.
- PSCW staff members work onsite at Belinda's Place.
