Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Services Caseworker to join our team in preventing youth homelessness. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to clients and contribute to the day-to-day operations of our residential facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an active caseload and provide case management services to clients.
  • Conduct intake and assessments, create service plans, and provide clinical interventions as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing responsibility for primary client housing-stability planning and housing-related case work.
  • Record activities and incidents occurring during shifts in a factual and concise manner.
  • Develop a network and make referrals to existing services and resources in the community.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including reporting monthly performance statistics and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent post-secondary education.
  • Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and a current copy of a Driver's abstract.
  • Experience working with homelessness, mental health, and vulnerable populations.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and equity principles.
  • Good knowledge of community resources and ability to develop a network of referrals.
Working Conditions
  • This is a permanent full-time position.
  • Shift schedules may vary.
  • Minimal travel required.
