We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our team as a Clinical Lead at the Calgary Pain Program. This advanced level psychology position offers a unique opportunity to work with patients who require complex and multi-dimensional medical, psychological, interpersonal, environmental, and instrumental care.

Job Description
  • Provide clinical leadership and coordination in an assigned program area, collaborating with interprofessional teams to ensure evidence-based practices align with psychology standards of practice and code of ethics.
  • Consult, collaborate, and enact initiatives to enhance services for patients with complex needs, including those related to chronic pain and headache populations.
  • Lead, facilitate, and/or participate in program development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement, and evaluation activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program, active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with chronic pain and headache disorders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including cognitive behavioral therapy and health change methodology.
  • Design and conduct education sessions for inter-professional learners and share expertise through professional education activities.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a CPA or APA accredited program.
  • Active registration with CAP.
  • Experience coordinating therapeutic groups and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
