Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist II to join our team at the Alberta Children's Hospital.

About This Opportunity

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed psychologist to provide advanced clinical services, consultation, and education to patients, families, and interprofessional teams. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to deliver evidence-based care that addresses the complex medical, psychological, interpersonal, environmental, and instrumental needs of our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to innovative practice models and work effectively within a team environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced clinical services, including psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, as well as consultation and education to the interprofessional team and patients/families.
  • Clinical leadership and coordination in an assigned program area.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating programs, policies, and procedures aligned with psychology standards of practice and code of ethics.
  • Supervising doctoral-level psychology residents, master's-level interns, provisional psychologists, psychometrists, and other team members.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program.
  • Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
  • Recent clinical experience working in a pediatric setting with a focus on assessment and treatment of children and youth with medical, developmental, and mental health problems.
  • Experience with Connect Care training.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
