Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to lead our sales and business operations at Westlake.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and leading all sales and business activities within our distribution division. This role is crucial in driving profitability and growth, making it an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee branch activities to ensure efficient operation and maximum profitability;
- Servicing major accounts and actively pursuing new business opportunities;
- Lead a high-performing team of sales, customer service, and warehouse employees, providing coaching and guidance to achieve exceptional results;
- Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, and manage assets to achieve ROI targets;
- Hire, develop, and retain top talent to create a high-performance culture focused on delivering outstanding customer service, improving margins, and driving sales growth;
- Maintain and safeguard branch assets, including buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables;
- Identify new markets, increase market share, and optimize margins;
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining a safe working environment;
- Provide regular reports to head-office, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement;
- Foster a culture of excellence in customer satisfaction and employee engagement;
- Participate in annual budget setting and ensure effective resource allocation throughout the year.
- A college degree in a business-related field (e.g., marketing, finance, or management);
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in sales, sales management, or branch management in a business-to-business sales environment, with a focus on small and medium-sized businesses;
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to analyze data to drive informed decision-making;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
