About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at Ontario Impex of Canada Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Culinary Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
    • Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the management of kitchen inventory, including food, supplies, and equipment.
    • Implement efficient inventory management systems to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety protocols and regulations.
    • Implement measures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
